Bondage Man Wax Play Candles Review

As my regular readers will know I have a kinky streak a mile wide and love BDSM play and activities that are often considered outside of the ‘norm’.

When Latex, Leather & Lace asked if I would be interested in reviewing a pack of three Wax Play Candles from The Bondage Man I was immediately interested. The last thing that I reviewed for them was the Blush Avant Pride P5 Fluid Silicone Butt Plug Review.

I have heard a lot of good things about these candles and to have the chance to try them out for myself was something that I had meant to do for a while now.

So with the three candles in hand and a lighter in my pocket, it was off to the Attic swingers club in Derby with sub’r’ to give her a good coating of wax. So read on to find out what we both thought of these lovely looking candles.

Delivery

As always everything that has arrived from Latex, Leather & Lace has been well packaged inside plain packaging. There’s nothing like keeping the postie guessing as to my kinky reviewing activities.

Composition

These wax play candles are special for a number of reasons. Firstly they are hand mixed and poured in the UK. As such you can expect to find small marks on the candles. They are quite soft as well so they will mark if dropped or banged.

They are made out of a special mix of soybean wax and botanical oils. This makes them environmentally friendly and safe to use on skin.

Safety

Unlike regular household candles or T-lights, the wax used in these candles is a low melting wax, having a melting temperature of just 54 degrees. This is important as household candles can cause burns when the wax is dripped on the skin. These candles are designed to be safe to use on skin.

Note: Never use a household candle or t-lights for wax play as they can cause serious injury as they melt at a much higher temperature.

That said though you need to think about safety seriously. Firstly because you are playing with fire – literally so make sure there is nothing flammable nearby.

Before using them for the first time on someone you should check that they are not allergic to the ingredients used in the candles. You can just do that by lighting one and dropping a single drop of wax onto their wrist. Wait a full ten minutes and inspect the area of the wax droplet for swelling or reddening of the skin, if you see either then don’t continue.

I did this to sub’r’, and we took the time while we waited to get the medical room at the attic ready for some wax play.

Using The Candles

We put a towel on the examination table ready for sub’r’ to lay down upon, and we got some hand towels ready, one for the candles to sit on so that we didn’t make a mess and another for me to use to wipe and spills up.

I then made sub’r’ strip her underwear off, and she was stood there in just a corset and her collar. After checking for any allergic reaction, I got her to lay on the bench on her front. Her first wax play session would focus on her shoulders and back.

You get three candles in each set, but the colours will vary, ours had red, blue and a black candle and I lit them one at a time.

I started with the black candle and rolled it around in my hand, so the flame melted the wax uniformly. Holding the candle about 50cm above her shoulders I let the first drops of wax fall onto her back and shoulders. The sigh that sub’r’ let out told me everything that I needed to know, and I continued allowing the droplets of wax land at random over her back and shoulders.

Talking to her throughout she explained how delightful the droplets felt hitting her back, the sting and then warm glow that each delivered felt amazing and she was soon squirming as her excitement built.

I used each candle in turn and sub’r’ was loving it. I then moved lower so that the wax landed on her buttocks and some even hit her pussy lips between her slightly parted thighs and her excitement continued to build.

After about ten minutes applying the wax to her, I was satisfied with the coating that she had received. Afterwards sub’r’ commented on how pleasant the wax felt as it cooled. It gently pulls your skin as it cools and shrinks slightly and this feels delightful.

Now getting the wax off is best done with a flat edged object such as a butter knife and I had brought one along for just this job.

The feelings of the knifes edge even though it was blunt really turned sub’r’ on and she orgasmed while I was halfway done scraping the wax off her buttocks and pussy lips. The sight of her shuddering and gasping as she came got me very wet as well.

Once cleaned up I made her flip over, and I used the candles again, this time on her breasts and eventually her pussy. As you can imagine, the sensations are much more intense in these areas. I was delighted when she came again as her pussy was wholly coated in wax. Cleaning her up again was extremely horny for both of us, and I was more than ready to take my turn on the table as she applied the wax to me.

By this time we had quite an audience, and that added to the horniness of it all for me. I loved it, and I also came while feeling sub’r’ cleaning the wax from my pussy and breasts.

The sensation that you get when you feel the wax cooling is hard to describe. It is like someone is gently squeezing your skin and that coupled with the warm sensation you get with the sharp pain of the wax landing on you is heady stuff. Both of us are hooked and will be doing it again.

Judging by the comments that we both received it was also very erotic to watch.

Cleaning up is a messy process as the wax tends to split and fracture into tiny pieces that go everywhere. When you clean it all off, you can re-melt the wax to use it again if you are using the candles for just one person. You shouldn’t re-use the wax though if you use the candles on others due to obvious hygiene reasons.

When scraped off your skin will feel a little oily, and a shower is recommended to clean off all the small bits of wax and to get rid of the oily residue.

Conclusion

This was the first time we had used candles for some wax play, and we both loved it. We got permission from the clubs owners to take some pics. Most of these are XXX and not suitable for display here but the ones in this review show how the wax looks when dripped onto skin.

Both of us can heartily recommend these candles from the Bondage Man for anyone looking to try some wax play fun. They are cheap, safe and so much fun to use on each other.

The Bondage Man Wax Play Candles (3 Pack) are available for just £12.99 from Latex Leather & Lace
